New Study From Ceresana Research: Change In The Global Hdpe Market
Whether in carrying bags bottle caps or buckets: We use high density polyethylene HDPE daily. One third of all toys are manufactured from this thermoplast. Less often seen but nevertheless vital goods produced from HDPE include water pipes gas mains oil tanks and geomembranes. The lightweight nontoxic material is easily recyclable and is increasingly being utilized as an alternative for less environmentally friendly substances. A new study from Ceresana Research now closely examines this important plastic market.
The Growing HDPE Market
During the past year the global HDPE market reached a volume of more than 30 million tons. This is after attaining 22 million tons in the year 2000. Worldwide demand for HDPE is primarily influenced by rapidly growing industries especially those of packing and construction. Even though North America and Western Europe continued to account for about 44 of global demand during 2007 the AsiaPacific region is constantly propelling more worldwide growth and will in large part drive future HDPE revenue increases. East European countries especially Russia are benefiting from substantial growth rates and currently possess a market volume of approximately 2.5 million tons. Ceresana Research expects HDPE revenues to nearly double by 2016 as a result of increased sales volumes and higher prices.
The Asian Pacific is Expanding Market Share
The Asian Pacific’s share of worldwide HDPE demand has risen from 31 in the year 2000 to more than 35 in 2007. China’s manufacturing industry comes in first place followed by those in India Japan and South Korea. Producers of HDPE in the region profit from rapidly growing Asian markets even in relatively smaller countries such as Malaysia and from export opportunities in North America and Western Europe. The HDPE manufacturing industries in previously established nations are migrating more and more to fast growing and cost effective countries in Asia. One anomaly is the production of fibers: Only about 5 of global HDPE demand fell on this sector but it is principally concentrated in the Asian Pacific region.
The Middle East Aspires to Reach the Top
Throughout the Middle Eastern countries demand for plastic is consistently increasing along with production: The Gulf States no longer want to exclusively export petroleum but also want to offer global market products with a higher added value. Since the year 2000 production of HDPE has increased more than 20 per year whereby a large portion was accounted for by Saudi Arabia. There is no end in sight for this rapid development: Until the year 2013 projects are planned throughout the Middle East with a total capacity of 6.9 million tons. These developments are expected to make this region the most important supplier of HDPE in the world.
What will Become of Western Europe and North America?
In contrast to the Middle East only minor expansions in capacity are planned for Western Europe and North America whereby most new production facilities will replace older ones. Smaller factories will increasingly be abandoned here but also within the remaining regions. In the future established manufacturers of HDPE need to create more innovative products and efficient production technologies in order to compete with new suppliers.
Many HDPE Application Areas are Growing
SubstantiallyMilk bottles and other hollow goods manufactured through blow molding are the most important application area for HDPE More than 8 million tons or nearly one third of worldwide production was applied here. Above all China where beverage bottles made from HDPE were first imported in 2005 is a growing market for rigid HDPE packaging as a result of its improving standard of living. In India and other highly populated emerging nations infrastructure is being expanded not without pipes and cable insulation made from HDPE. The environmentally friendly material has benefited from discussions about possible health and environmental problems caused by PVC or as the case may be its advantages over glass metal and cardboard.

New Acoustic Screed Combo For Top Dubai Development
New Acoustic Screed Combo For Top Dubai Development
Flowcretes pioneering screed and soundproofing combination system has been specified for a large scale installation in the Middle East.
The global flooring company which has its headquarters in Sandbach Cheshire has secured a project to install Isocrete Acoustic K at the luxury Fairmont Palm Residence Hotel and Resort being built within the exclusive Palm Jumeirah Development in Dubai.
This is the latest success for Flowcrete in the Middle East which last month announced it had won its largest ever contract involving the installation of its carpark decking system Deckshield at the Jumeirah Lakes Towers Development also in Dubai.
At the Fairmont Palm Residence Hotel and Resort Acoustic K is being installed in all 558 of the deluxe apartments across 23000 square metres.
Flowcrete Middle East Managing Director Andrew Gwyther said This is a significant achievement for us and we are proud to be involved in such a prestigious development.
The developers and architects were keen to ensure that any noise generated within the apartment buildings was not transferred to occupants below or above. This unique screed system will help achieve that.
Acoustic K combines noisereduction efficiency with the proven performance of Isocrete screeds which have been used in house building projects across the UK and across the globe for almost 40 years.
Flowcrete launched Acoustic K last year for the UK market where it is designed to take the strain out of compliance with Approved Document E for house builders as well as internationally.
The system complies with Building Regulations is approved by the British Board of Agrment and offers a weightsaving reduced screed thickness. It also allows for an early installation of floor finishes over the substrate.
In the UK it can be installed as part of Flowcretes unique Floorzone solution which includes the screeds combined with Isocrete Acoustic K and Isowarm underfloor heating as well as Flowcretes range of seamless floors.
With the Floorzone concept the entire floor involving screed soundproofing heating and finish are designed and supplied by Flowcrete and installed by one Flowcreteapproved contractor.
Alan Dean sales director of Flowcrete in the UK said: Isocrete Acoustic K is a complete system not just components and has been brought into the market with an emphasis on a quality installation.
Test results from independent sources show it achieved results well in excess of the requirements set out by Approved Document E of the Building Regulations 2003.
The system will deliver peace of mind for house builders that they can achieve a high acoustic performance and performance screed with just one contractor responsible for the entire procedure.

Network Marketing Success–is Your Self-talk Keeping You From Success?
Network Marketing Success–is Your Self-talk Keeping You From Success?
Anybody who has been successful in Network Marketing will tell you that mindset is important. People who know they can succeed do…and those who think they probably won’t don’t! One of the things that has a major affect on your mindset is your selftalk.
You know the little voice in your head? It might give you a pep talk when you’re down reminding you that you’ve done hard things before and succeeded. Or it might tell you that you might as well give up now because this is never going to work. Oftentimes we don’t consciously think about our selftalk but it can be a major factor in having Network Marketing success…or failure.
BecomeAware of Your SelfTalk
The first step to using your selftalk to help you create success in your Network Marketing business is to become aware of it. Keep a small notebook with you for a few days and write down what you are telling yourself.
When you are alone with your thoughts your selftalk is more active. Driving in the car taking a shower going for a jog…these are all ideal times for you to tune in and be more aware of your selftalk.
Analyze Your SelfTalk
After a few days take a look and what you have written down in your notebook. Are the thoughts you have about yourself negative or positive? Are they realistic?
Sometimes when you look back at what you have been telling yourself you can see that your thinking is flawed. Maybe you are being too hard on yourself; you have unrealistic expectations. Or maybe you are constantly making excuses and blaming others for your shortcomings.
Realize That You Are In Charge of Your Thoughts
It’s your mind and you are really the only person who has control of your thoughts. If your selftalk is not helping you to be a successful Network Marketer you must realize that it is within your power to change your thoughts. When you make the conscious choice to stop negative selftalk and take steps to do so you will see the improvement in your Network Marketing success…and in your life!
KeepYour SelfTalk Positive
Focus on using positive selftalk. If you have used negative selftalk for years it won’t change overnight. Make a list of the negative selftalk you engage in most frequently. Make a list of positive alternatives. When you have a negative thought you will already be prepared to replace it.
For example my background before starting my Network Marketing business was in the mental health field. I realized that when I experienced difficulty I would tell myself that I couldn’t be a successful Network Marketer because I didn’t have the correct background. The negative selftalk was keeping me from reaching my goals. I changed the thought to acknowledge that I didn’t havebusiness background…but neither do most successful Network Marketers. By choosing a business where people of all backgrounds can be successful I could and would be successful too.
