Cebit 2008 – Was The New Concept A Success?
Cebit 2008 – Was The New Concept A Success?
This year’s CeBIT in Hanover the world’s largest trade fair for IT and telecommunications took place between 4th and 9th of March 2008.
There were about 5900 companies by 5 percent less than last year. For the first time in the history of the fair China had the largest representation surpassing in numbers the previous leader Taiwan.
Among the notable absentees were Sony Sharp Philips Lenovo Dell and Nokia.
After several years of decrease of the number of exhibitors the organizers decided to increase the number of conferences to attract professionals and shorten the event by one day to cut the costs of exhibitors. But probably the main focus was to define the objectives of the exhibition.
Unfortunately the organization efforts didn’t seem to refresh the event. They couldn’t eliminate the feeling of deficiency a want for new technologies and for an impulse to stop the decrease of investments in European telecommunications.
During the trade fair we could see a steady factor in European industry expansion of red tape. The organizers using subsidizing invite national exhibitors that instead of products are showing travel brochures and grassroots movements promoting projects like Green IT.
In this situation the most interesting trends seen at the fair were network and mobile solutions for television as an extension of offers of telecommunication operators. The solutions are based on technologies that improve data transfers especially those of mobile telephony. The example is LTE technology presented by Sony Ericsson and TMobile.
LTE Long Term Evolution is the newest transmission system for mobile applications developed according to the 3rd Generation Partnership Project 3GPP. The specification accepted in January 2008 adopts theoretical limit of 326 Mbps practical transmission speed about 100 Mbps.

CeBIT is always interesting for many people. This year there were about 400000 visitors.

Bulgarian Real Estate Market Still Stable
Bulgarian Real Estate Market Still Stable
Platinum Investment Group is operating on the Bulgarian market for the last 3 years which gives us a perspective of the local real estate market and how it works. During these years we saw many positive changes in the market. Our experience is mainly with the residential market in Sofia and the observations about its development are optimistic. The biggest change we have witnessed in recent years is that clients are more selective. Their preferences changed they tend to prioritize quality construction good location and facilities offered over superficial signs of prestige and luxury.
Local business climate is good. Of course every place has its peculiarities and Bulgaria is no exception but in any country that we operated in we have always adjusted to the local demands without bending on our guiding principles of work.
There is a general tendency in investments rate decline and the reasons are global. However in comparison with other countries especially those where Platinum Investment Group operates the Bulgarian market can be considered stable. Western world lives through a global financial crisis whose effects are to influence the economy in general but local market has its specifics and on our part we do not have any intention to stop investing quite the opposite it is our intention to increase the volume of our investment in Bulgaria. We have a plan for the following 45 years in which we intend to plan an accumulated investment of approximately EUR 32 million.
In the residential segment of the market we have not witnessed a decrease of prices. As mentioned before we consider the residential market in Sofia as stable mostly due to the stable and even growing demand for residential units. One of the peculiarities of the Bulgarian market is that people prefer to own the place they live in. Platinum Investment Group believes that this tendency leads the market. The banks will continue to provide loans to households because this is the demand of the market and the banks as providers of service should continue and satisfy this need.
Among all important features a client is looking for when picking up a place to live as location price and quality construction last years demand points out residential unit buyer in Sofia is looking for combination of these as well as nondirect positive features as good design and green areas that add to the experience of having a home in a particular building. Along with these there is growing interest in properties where facilities and common area facility management do not additionally boost the price of their own home clients avoid paying big property management taxes and higher prices just because there is a shop on the ground level. Apartment buyers are getting more and more practical in their approach to the buildings amenities and this turns to be an advantage for all middlesize developments in prestigious Sofia districts. And last but not on last place important are the payment scheme security of the area and the building itself as well as the apartment execution.
We Platinum Investment Group are in the process of completing our third project in Sofia and we expect to start by the end of this year a new residential complex in the district of Dragalevtsi. This is an exciting new complex type development that will include different amenities such as fitness and a swimming pool. In the first half of 2009 we will start with two additional complex type projects one in the centre of Sofia and another in one of the Southern neighborhoods. We believe that the project developed in the Centre of Sofia will be attractive to professionals working in or near the centre. The second one will enjoy its proximity to Sofia Business Park and the proximity to Vitosha and the ring road. With these three new projects we expect to have between 550 and 650 apartments being developed together with additional office space and retail area.. We also have under development a village type resort near Borovets.
Despite all difficulties the real estate market meets we still believe residential homes market is always active as peoples need for food and home will always be a priority. With adequate prices and quality construction we will give our best to stay on the market as one of the solid companies people chose as their partner in their home search.

Blow Your Own Trumpet For Positive PR
Blow Your Own Trumpet For Positive PR
You can become famous. Maybe you dont want be famous but at least you can learn to make your product or service well known. Of course that will in turn help the bottom line and you might become rich and famous! Is that what you want your 15 minutes of fame? Your opportunity to shine in the spotlight.
So how do we get that opportunity? Why not tell everyone who you are what you do and how you make a difference. The way of doing that is through public relations and it is simply communicating who you are and what you do its having relationships with your public.
One way of letting people know who you are is through publicity. Getting that free editorial coverage in press on radio and television is what we all want. Its our way of letting people know about our product or service or how terrific we are. But most of us dont like blowing our own trumpet. But without promotion something terrible happens nothing!
If you are an independent business owner you have a lot of things to juggle a lot of hats to wear that of lawyer accountant manager entrepreneur technician and of course marketing expert and under that umbrella comes PR promotion and publicity. So lets get rights down to the basics the publicist. Thats what you need to be. You need to write a media release send it out to the media and ring them up. Talk to the media about who you are and what your product is.

No point writing that fancy media release with the dynamic headline strong opening and all the elements of who what when where and why thats all very well but you also need to follow through. Find out the name of the person you want to send that media release to and phone them up. Find out whether they want to receive the media release by fax or email build a relationship. Get that message out and then follow through.
The first step is to go and buy the magazines. Have a look in the front for the name of the editor. Their phone number is usually there its that simple. Then write and send your media release or perhaps even an article. Pick up the phone and promote your story idea to the media.
If your story is interesting it may be published in the newspaper or magazine and then you will reap the rewards of people contacting you and wanting to know more about you. Its not that hard really.
